In an age of mass production and fast furniture, handcrafted, one-of-a-kind timber pieces have become a true luxury. At The Wood Project, we specialise in creating custom made dining tables in Melbourne and other bespoke furniture using responsibly salvaged local timber.
Every piece tells a story. We mill and kiln-dry all our timber in-house, using trees that would otherwise be chipped, burnt or discarded. Our logs are never sourced from forestry. From log to slab, each piece takes up to two years to prepare—resulting in furniture that’s not only beautiful, but rich in meaning and made to last for generations.
